We would like to invite applications for the role of Physiotherapist in Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Kilmore Road , Artane Dublin 5.
Purpose of Position
The purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to residents in Bartra Healthcare Nursing Homes. The key focus of this post will be promotion of independence to patients based on a multidisciplinary directed SMART bespoke goal setting model.
Roles and Responsibilities
Carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the post
Be responsible for patient assessment, development and implementation of individualised treatment plans that are patient centred and in line with best practice
Be responsible for goal setting in partnership with patient, family and other team members as appropriate
Be responsible for standards of practice of self and staff appointed to clinical / designated area(s)
Communicate and work in co-operation with the multidisciplinary team
Develop effective communication with and provide instruction, guidance and support for staff, patients, family, carers etc.
Document patient records in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies
Provide a service in designated Bartra Nursing Homes in line with local policy / guidelines and within appropriate time allocation
Demonstrate flexibility and work across the various units as the need arises
Participate and be a lead clinician as appropriate in review meetings, case conferences, rounds etc.
Develop and promote professional standards of practice
Qualifications
Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU - candidates must state CORU registration number on application, or CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number in the case of section 91 applicants.
Relevant Experience, ideally in a nursing home/ healthcare sector
Required:
Full Driver's licence
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging situations.
Ability to work using own initiative and be flexible.
Desirable:
Evidence of CPD in area of physical and intellectual disability (desirable)
Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring (desirable)
