As a Mechanical Site Supervisor:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge.
- You understand contracts, mechanical systems, and relevant regulations, and you can manage a project from start to finish.
- Leadership and communication are key—you will be managing teams and working with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred.
- A clean UK/ROI driving license and the ability to travel to various sites in the Greater Dublin area are required.
Mechanical Site Supervisor Skills:
- Using Procore, you will dive into blueprints and floor plans to understand the full mechanical layout of the project, identifying potential issues before the work begins.
- You will bring any potential problems to the table in prestart meetings with the Senior Project Manager and others involved to keep everything running smoothly.
- Oversee the installation of piping and fixtures (water, gas, steam, air, etc.), ensuring everything is up to spec and quality standards are met throughout the project.
- Manage site operatives and apprentices, making sure everyone knows what they need to do, and that work gets done safely and efficiently, with support from senior management.
- You will be the point person for communication between contractors, managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring everyone stays coordinated.
- Educating the team on safety protocols and regularly inspecting the site to eliminate hazards will be part of your daily routine. If an accident happens, you will manage it according to set procedures.
- Keep accurate records of all site activities, ensuring that they are meeting the quality standards set.
- When issues or delays come up on-site, you will raise them with the main contractor and help find solutions to keep things moving.
- Work with the procurement team to get the materials you need on-site, ensuring orders are delivered as scheduled.
- You will be expected to make full use of Procore for tracking RFIs, any damage, out-of-scope work, and general site activities.
- You will oversee testing and commissioning when required by the Senior Project Manager and the QA team.
- It is vital to follow all health and safety policies and procedures, keeping everyone on-site safe.
- Ensure that the high standards we set are consistently met across all stages of the project.
