Mastership

The Governors of The National Maternity Hospital, as a Voluntary Hospital, will elect the Master of the Hospital for the statutory period of 7 years effective from 1st January 2026.

The Master as a practicing clinician is also responsible for the overall management of the Hospital including its strategic development, clinical governance and oversight, patient safety and risk management and administrative and financial matters. The appointee will be involved in the Hospital's proposed move to Elm Park.
