SUMMARY OF ROLE:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager based in Ringsend, Dublin 4, for our client, a highly successful and rapidly growing manufacturing company in the environmentally friendly building materials sector. The ideal candidate, who will be a key part of the management team, will come from a practical operational background, with the experience to manage projects and make independent decisions.
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the production system by keeping it in optimal condition. You need to be able to organise the overall maintenance in addition to performing inspections and maintaining some equipment directly. We are looking for a thorough professional with a practical mind and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The primary job function is to maintain the plant in the best possible condition. The successful candidate will have training and career development opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement and manage maintenance planning (daily, monthly and annual)
• Organise preventive maintenance of the site: ball mill, separator, filters, pneumatic transport, silos...
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Inspect, monitor, and maintain equipment including ball mill
• Diagnoses potential faults in equipment
• Manage electrical and mechanical company carrying out maintenance on site (including during periods of planned shutdown)
• Interpret and modify technical diagrams or schematics for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, etc.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven experience in a plant maintenance role;
• Background in maintenance, mechanics, electronics, electromechanics, or automation is required, along with at least 5 years of industrial experience (cement industry if possible);
• Electrical trade, engineering or maintenance qualification desirable;
• Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative;
• Strong people skills with the ability to build professional relationships;
• Progressive attitude towards change and improvement;
• Track record of adhering to and enforcing safety regulations, particularly on projects under their supervision;
• Good communication skills, well organised and trustworthy;
• Comfortable working on own Initiative and as part of the team;
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite including word, excel etc.

SALARY:
Range €80,000-€90,000 commensurate with experience. The company also provides Healthcare 100% funded for employee, partner and dependents and an employer pension contribution of 7%, including life assurance and long-term illness cover.
