What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the efficient operation of facilities and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Reporting to the COO, you'll lead a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Develop and implement maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute tasks on motors, conveyor systems, production machinery, and other equipment following technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and precision instruments to address mechanical issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain proper stock levels, expedite orders, and adhere to procurement and PO procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a safety-first and improvement-oriented culture.
  • Task Coordination: Collaborate with operational teams to prioritize tasks and align maintenance efforts with production goals.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to optimize performance, reduce costs, and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Safety Advocacy: Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas while enforcing strict health and safety standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze maintenance reports to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

What My Client Is Looking For

To excel in this role, you'll need a combination of technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for sustainability:
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in maintenance operations, preferably in production or waste processing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies (an advantage).
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintenance qualifications and experience with tracking systems are highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a focus on fostering a safety-first culture.
