As a Junior Electrical Engineer:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an electrical engineering role, ideally within the construction or building services industry.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design software.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and building management systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of Irish electrical codes and standards is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Electrical Engineer Skills:
- Assist senior engineers in reviewing and developing electrical design plans, ensuring that they align with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the installation of electrical systems on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Work closely with electrical subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow, adherence to plans, and resolution of any on-site issues.
- Aid in the testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date records, including design changes, as-built documentation, and reports on progress, issues, and milestones.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and project health and safety procedures, supporting audits as required.
- Help in tracking electrical materials and equipment deliveries, working with procurement teams to ensure timely supply.
- Assist in identifying and addressing any issues related to electrical installations, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary.
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least of €35,000 plus package.
