Role description - Internal Sales Representative:


The Internal Sales Representative will actively work with our current customer base to secure and grow existing business, while also engaging with potential new customers to actively promote and sell from our portfolio. The role also involves dealing with incoming sales and technical calls and advising customers at our trade counter on insulation, airtightness and passive fire solutions. This is a great opportunity to learn and specialise in insulation, airtightness and passive fire protection products as well as associated building materials. Working closely with external sales reps, the successful candidate will have the opportunity contribute to the growth and success of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:


The candidate must have a positive attitude to sales and customer service and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The role will require the candidate to:

     Interact with customers, colleagues and suppliers in relation to product and specification requirements.

     Deal with phone and counter enquiries to provide the best solution for customers.

     Pro-actively engage with existing and potential customers to grow & develop new business.

     Process incoming sales orders, quotation requests and enquiries.

     Co-ordinate with the purchasing and transport functions to ensure best in class customer service.

     Ensure quotations are returned promptly and actively followed up.

     Work with the external sales team to maximise sales.

     Manage project requirements with procurement and transport teams to ensure excellent customer service.

 

Skills and experience:

     2/3 years experience of internal sales or sales administration, preferably in the construction industry.

     Technical and sales knowledge of insulation related products an advantage however; full training on products and applications will be given.

     Self-motivated, with an ability to work as part of the sales team, and individually to meet sales targets.

     Ability to develop working relationships internally and with the wider network.

     Strong organisational and communication skills.

     IT skills associated with Microsoft excel packages (word and excel).
