Due to rapid expansion in the HV/MV, Energy, Power and Renewable division here at Suir Engineering, we would like to hear from qualified MV & HV jointers who are interested in progressing their career and joining the team in this growing sector.


Suir Engineering is a leading provider of electrical and power solutions, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medium and high voltage power systems. We deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients across various industries and regions. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking skilled and experienced MV/HV Jointers to join our dynamic team.


As an MV/HV Cable Jointer at Suir Engineering, you will be responsible for working on cables ranging from 10kV up to 220kV. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our clients' power systems through preparation, jointing, termination, and testing of high-voltage cables. This position demands adherence to strict safety standards and a dedication to delivering high-quality work.


What you will be doing:

  • Perform cable jointing and terminations on MV and HV power cables (10kV to 220kV, including XLPE, PILC, and EPR).
  • Conduct cable fault-finding, testing, and repairs.
  • Work on underground and overhead systems as required.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, cable plans and bonding diagrams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members as needed.


Is this job for me:

  • Proven experience as an MV/HV Cable Jointer with certification in jointing and terminating cables.
  • Expertise in cable fault-finding and testing techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
