HSEMW 25.072 Assessment of Need Officer

This post was established in line with Part 2 of the Disability Act 2005 and provides a service to all persons who fall within the definition of disability under this Act.

The office holder will facilitate the carrying out of an assessment of need consistent with the provisions of the Disability Act 2005 and Education of Persons with Special Educational Needs Act 2004.

The purpose of the post is to ensure that an independent, comprehensive, person centred assessment of the health needs of an applicant is carried out under the criteria laid down in the Disability Act 2005 and the Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs Act 2004.
