Healthcare Assistant (Paediatrics)

Communicare is looking for empathetic, patient and dependable home carers who have a genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

We have established ourselves as a key national provider of complex paediatric homecare services while also providing exceptional and individualised homecare to older people and those with disabilities.

Hours: 3pm-9pm (1 day per week + cover shifts)

Experience working with children with complex conditions would be a a distinct advantage.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Support our clients in daily tasks such as personal care, light housekeeping, food preparation and activies.
• Provide companionship and support with social activities.
• Work to promote the health and well-being of clients through supports such as medication prompting.

Role requirements:

• FETAC/QQI Level 5.
• Two written references.
• CPR & Patient Moving and Handling Certificates.
• Childrens First Certificate (HSELand).
• Full driving license and access to a car is a distinct advantage but not essential.
