Known for their professional culture and robust safety practices, they are now seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their team on one of the most significant healthcare projects in the region.

About the Company: This is a well-established and respected main contractor with an excellent portfolio of public and private sector builds, including major residential, commercial, and healthcare developments. The Project: The current project is a large healthcare unit with over 100 rooms, delivering state-of-the-art medical facilities for the local community. It’s a technically complex and highly regulated environment ideal for a Health and Safety professional seeking to build expertise and develop their profile on a major build.

The Role: Health and Safety Officer You will report to the Senior Health and Safety Manager and take ownership of on-site safety compliance, training, and risk mitigation. Responsibilities include:

Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits
Leading investigations into incidents and near-misses
Preparing and maintaining all Health & Safety documentation
Supporting and advising site teams on safety best practices
Carrying out toolbox talks and training sessions
Monitoring subcontractor compliance and documentation
Reviewing RAMS and ensuring full legislative compliance on-site

Key Requirements: To be considered for the role, you should have:

A 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety (or related field)
4+ years' experience in a Health and Safety role in construction
Preferably a member of IOSH
Excellent knowledge of H&S legislation and site processes
Ability to work independently within a structured H&S system
Competency with Microsoft Office and safety management tools
Strong communication and reporting skills
