The Role:

Reporting into the site General Manager, this role is a critical part of the site management Team. This is an exciting time to join a fast paced and manage the site Health and Safety Team in ABP Bandon. You will have support from the Group Health and Safety Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident individual with a positive 'can do attitude', and the drive to get the job done.

Requirements

Level 8 qualification - Health & Safety with 3-5 years relevant industry experience

Computer literate - Proficient in Microsoft office.

Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor

Hardworking and flexible with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and great accuracy

A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative in a busy, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Engaging and influencing the Site Safety Management Team at a senior level

Responsible for being up to date with new Health & Safety Legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of developments within our industry.

Building the Health & Safety Culture throughout the site

Conducting regular internal audits to check policies & procedures are being properly implemented, recording the results & communicating them to Management.

Carrying out/updating risk assessments, formulating preventative measures, and monitoring conformance

Developing safe systems of work & maintaining risk trackers as required

Attending & heading up weekly Safety briefings/huddles with Line Managers

Investigating, recording & conducting follow ups of any incident, accident, or near misses

Ensuring the site Emergency Plan & Procedures is up to date, communicated & understood by all key responders.

Ensuring all equipment is installed & operated safely as per legislation.

Leading third party Health & Safety inspections & audits
