-· Based in Harold's Cross, with responsibility across Harold's Cross, Blackrock & Wicklow Hospices
-To provide outstanding leadership for our nursing and healthcare care staff in the Specialist Palliative Care Services at Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services (OLH&CS).
-To lead the nursing team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity. To drive the delivery of excellent clinical standards of care, to maintain a proactive culture and to demonstrate clinical effectiveness and continuous quality improvement.

Essential Requirements
-Qualifications:
-· Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
-and
-· Are educated to Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) in nursing or related field.
-And
-· A post registration management qualification in health or a related field. (This requirement can be satisfied by a stand-alone programme or a completed module. The module may form part of a larger programme of study or be included in the award at (ii) above).
-Experience:
-· Have 10 years post registration nursing experience consisting of at least three years' experience nursing in palliative care in the last six years and 5 years nursing management experience.
-· Demonstrate depth and breadth of nursing experience in Palliative Care, as relevant to the post including:
-· Applicants must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
-· Experience of managing and working collaboratively with stakeholders
-· Experience of leading change
-Other:
-· IT skills to include, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-· Ability to present and interpret data
-· Ability to commute to different sites in a timely and reliable manner
-Desirable Requirements
-Qualifications:
-· A post registration Qualification in Palliative Care or a willingness to undertake same.
-· Experience in quality improvement and clinical governance
-Other:
-· Hold a full clean driving licence
