Reporting to the Group Business Support Manager – Facilities , the Group Facilities Manager – Ireland & Continental Europe will be a support and guide for Hotel GMs and Maintenance Managers in the region for and other departments in the hotels and within in Central Office. The right candidate will be a multitasker, who is not afraid to tackle multiple challenges across a range of Facilities services. They should be a link between the hotel teams and the suppliers or contractors.

Job Title and Responsibilities 

Facilities Strategy
Support the development and implementation of group-wide facilities management strategies, aligned with operational and commercial goals.

Hotel Property Visits
Conduct regular hotel property visits to nominated hotels, meeting with the General Manager and maintenance team reviewing planned maintenance, projects and issues arising in the hotel.

Compliance & Safety
Oversee adherence to statutory and corporate compliance standards including health & safety, fire safety, and building regulations.

Vendor Management
Review performance management of external service providers and contractors across nominated hotels to ensure maintenance is being applied to required standard and SLAs are achieved.

Asset Performance
Review hotel contracts in place and service reports for key hotel plant infrastructure and address any potential issues identified in the performance of equipment which could lead to significant disruption.

Preventative Maintenance
Collaborate with the Group Maintenance Manager to ensure proactive maintenance schedules are in place and monitored for completion and effectiveness

Sustainability
Contribute to group sustainability targets by driving energy conservation, waste reduction, and environmentally responsible facilities practices.

Adhoc Projects
Assist and in some cases oversee upgrade projects in the hotels, liaising with consultants, quantity surveyors, principal contracts, and ensure strict adherence to H&S regulations

Cross-Functional Support
Partner with Acquisitions & Development, Procurement, IT and Hotel Operations to ensure consistent delivery of facilities-related initiatives.

Statutory Legislation
Manage statutory legislative requirements, implementing findings and recommendations to ensure full compliance and avoiding litigation.

Develop Maintenance Teams
Work closely with Maintenance Managers to motivate and develop internal teams, to promote an inclusive and cohesive team environment.

Hotel Acquisitions & New Builds
Manage statutory legislative requirements, implementing findings and recommendations to ensure full compliance and avoiding litigation.

Standard Operating Procedures
Regular review of existing standard operating procedures and apply timely updates or additions for the benefit of the hotels reflective of the changes in business approach.

Budget Management
Review R&M Overheads for assigned hotels and query any abnormal R&M spend outside of expected budget in any given year.

 

What You’ll Need

Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in multi-site facilities management, ideally in hospitality or commercial real estate.

Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of FM compliance standards in Ireland, UK & European markets.

Technical Skills
Familiarity with CAFM systems, asset management tools, and maintenance planning.

Data-Driven Approach
Ability to interpret facilities performance data, generate insights, and recommend improvements.

Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication, with proven stakeholder engagement experience across multiple business functions.

Travel Flexibility
Willingness and ability to travel across the Group’s European property portfolio as required.
