There is currently 1 permanent whole-time post available in St Otterans Hospital, Johns Hill, Waterford.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade VII - Social Inclusion from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpost of post:

-

· To provide leadership and management support within the identified Social Inclusion Services ensuring socially excluded groups in society is a key priority. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted significant challenges for this sector of the population, in particular those with increased vulnerabilities including complex health, mental health and addiction challenges.

· To provide leadership and management support within a function and to supervise staff within own remit.

-

· To manage a multi-disciplinary team and to provide support, advice and direction as required.

-

· To co-ordinate, develop and maintain prevention, harm reduction, treatment and aftercare service initiatives to tackle drug and alcohol related problems in the Community Care Area.

· To implement the relevant National Drugs Strategy and National Rehabilitation Framework

· To participate on the Homeless Action Team and work in a partnership and interagency way to support homeless service providers.

-

· To actively promote the rolling out of the National Rehabilitation Framework (NDRIC)

· It is expected in the normal course of events that the role will evolve as professional and service demands change.
