A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade V (Senior Registrar) from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled in the area of IHA Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary only.

Details of Service

The Civil Registration Service is a statutory service, delivered by the Health Service Executive (HSE) throughout the state, via eight Registration Area.

The service is responsible for the registration of life events (Births, Still Births, Marriages and Deaths). The receipt of the serving of notice of intention to marry and the solemnisation of civil marriages, as well as the issuing of certificates from the relevant Registers of Life Events and all related duties and functions in respect of such matters, as laid down in the relevant legislation.

The South Eastern Registration Area, is responsible for the delivery of the Civil Registration Service in the Counties of Waterford, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary. This is done via offices of this service based in each of those three counties.

Purpose of the Post

The Grade V (Senior Registrar) is crucial to the functioning and service delivery of the Civil Registration Service.

The Civil Registration Service is a statutory service, responsible for the registration of life events that occur in the state, the notification by parties of marriage, the solemnisation of civil marriage both onsite and offsite and issuing of certificates of registered life events. To manage a team and Civil Registration office/s as assigned.
