Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort is seeking to hire a Golf Shop Assistant to join our highly successful team. The hours involved will include day shifts and will include mid-week and weekend work.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day running of the Pro-shop retail and general Golf Operations activities.

Provide a warm and welcoming reception and environment for all patrons.

Daily promotion and upselling golf events and Pro-shop goods to maximise sales. 

Regular display cleaning, merchandising, replenishing and stock management.

              Process bookings and tee-time requests including email and telephone enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

              Assist with point-of-sale activities including cash handling and other functions. 

              Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all resort-wide products and services

              Promote and upsell site wide services and facilities where possible.

              Communicate operational and management information to golfers as required.

              Any duties required by management to ensure the delivery of 5-star service.

 

              The Candidate

              Will have previous experience in a similar role demonstrating a keen interest.

              Will possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

              Will be flexible in their working hours.

              Will have fluency in English, both oral and written

              A keen interest and knowledge of golf is desirable.

 

For the Retail and Merchandising Role:

 

              Assist with the day-to-day running of the Pro-shop retail and general Golf Operations activities.

Take a leading role in identifying and capitalising on retail trends.

Work with the Golf Manager on merchandise purchasing.

              Provide a warm and welcoming reception and environment for all patrons.

              Daily promotion Pro-shop goods to maximise sales. 

              Regular display cleaning, merchandising, replenishing and stock management.

              Process bookings and tee-time requests including email and telephone enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
