FRS Recruitment are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a well-known not-for-profit organisation in Dublin.

This is a temporary role with a strong view to permanency for the right candidate, offering hybrid working options and a salary of €65,000-€70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the group, including services, retail, and associated entities. This is a varied and rewarding role suited to a qualified accountant with strong systems experience and excellent attention to detail. Candidates with prior experience in the charity or non-profit sector will be at a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts to Balance Sheet stage

  • Bank reconciliations and cash management

  • Credit card terminal income reporting

  • Supporting the year-end audit and liaising with auditors

  • Budget preparation and variance analysis

  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation

  • Managing intercompany accounts

  • Coordinating supplier payments with the Accounts Payable team

  • VAT management and income reconciliations

Key requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent)

  • Strong experience using accounting software and advanced Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills

  • A proactive team player with a focus on process improvement

  • Previous charity or public sector experience is highly desirable
