Environmental Intern 2025

The EHS Department now requires an Environmental Intern to join the team.

The successful candidate will enjoy working on multiple large-scale pharmaceutical projects in the Irish and international markets. The role is both office and site based. Depending on the successful candidates’ preference, this opportunity can be permanent or on a contract basis. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have the following experience:

• The successful applicant will gain experience in a number of the following areas:
   Environmental Impact Assessments
   Environmental Risk Assessments
   Permitting and Licence Applications
   Air Dispersion Modelling
   Environmental Noise Modelling
   Construction Environmental Management & Monitoring Programmes
   Waste Management
   Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)

  Key responsibilities include:
   Perform work in compliance with PM Group’s Quality Management System
   Demonstrate knowledge of PM Group and/or industry standard methodologies and tools
   Carry out site visits / site surveys
   Interact and communicate with own department, other departments, project team members,
  clients and other external parties to ensure co-ordination of activities

  Personal Specification:

   Strong work ethic
   Good communications skills both verbal and written and ability to work within a multi-discipline
  team environment
   Ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines

• Completing a degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Chemical/Environmental Science or Engineering
• Good knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and EU BAT/BREF
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and their practical application to industry
• Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies).
