You are an experienced and motivated Electrical Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing team in Dublin.

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of electrical services projects, ensuring cost control, budgeting, and contract administration are carried out to the highest standard.

As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor:  
  • Prepare, manage, and control project budgets and cost estimates for electrical services, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are in line with contract terms.
  • Prepare tender documents, review subcontractor tenders, and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers. Negotiate and agree on pricing and contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare interim and final valuations for electrical services projects, manage variations, and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and cash flows, providing the project team with clear visibility of project performance.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where necessary to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Identify potential financial risks on projects and work with the project team to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, evaluate works completed, and ensure cost-effective management of materials and resources.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to manage expectations and ensure project delivery meets both financial and technical requirements.

Electrical Quantity Surveyor Skills:  
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on electrical services in the building services sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and installations, with experience in cost estimation, tendering, contract management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as CostX, Excel, and other QS/project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and project management.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least of €80,000 plus package.
