The Duty Manager’s key purpose is to ensure that guests in all areas of the hotel are receiving highest levels of service and safety at all times. The Duty Manager supports all departments, ensuring all departments are running smoothly at all times.  

   About McWilliam Park

The McWilliam Park Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved luxurious four-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a popular hotel for celebrating special occasions like weddings or to enjoy a romantic break or family getaway.

The hotel boasts 103 comfortable large sized hotel bedrooms, a leisure club (Evolve Health & Fitness) with a fully equipped gym, an indoor heated swimming pool and children’s pool.

 

Responsibilities:

·        To ensure that each department is running to standard, all staff are on duty and informed of the daily business activities.

·        To monitor hotel functions and review function sheet daily, noting any changes or amendments.

·        To chair the daily 11am meeting that informs all HODs of the days’ business.

·        To monitor and ensure that all public areas of the hotel are routinely cleaned; liaising and coordinating as necessary with accommodation team to achieve ensure this is actioned.

 ·        To ensure the car park and grounds are kept free of litter and obstructions.

·        To ensure that all staff in each department comply with all appropriate standards.

·        To ensure that all maintenance issues are recorded, scheduled and addressed in a timely fashion, liaising and coordinating with maintenance in relation to all issues, reporting those you have addressed as well as those that require further actions.

·        To ensure all corridors and public areas are kept free from trays and dirty glasses

·        To conduct a daily fire walk while on duty, enter all reports in the Fire Register

About The Role

Requirements:

·        Third level qualification an advantage

·        2 years of management experience in a similar sized property

·        Excellent written and spoken English

·        Excellent organisation and communication skills

·        Food and Beverage Experience a distinct advantage

·        Strong commercial and business knowledge an advantage

·        Resilient and capable of working under pressure a distinct advantage
