Leadership

• Co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hotel by leading and developing the wider management team.

• Responsible for the maintenance of high standards, quality, service and merchandising to maximise profits.

• Create an exceptional climate of professional & personable service that ensures the long-term satisfaction of team members, guests and owners.

Teamwork

• To develop a strong working relationship with all colleagues in your department and all other departments.

• To ensure clear lines of communication between your department and related departments.

• To balance team and individual responsibilities and to provide support as required to fellow colleagues.

Operations and Communication

•    Monitor all standards in the hotel to ensure they are in place and enforced.

•   Maintain an active presence throughout the hotel, make recommendations for changes as well as note deficiencies and ensure corrective action taken and measurable follow through at all times.

• Observe employees in the workplace, analyse operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training, policy adherence and morale.

• Thorough knowledge of each outlet’s operations including food, beverages, room types, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction.

• Attend and participate in regular meetings with the Hotel management and Group Leadership team to ensure smooth running of all operations for the Hotel: awareness of new products, promotions, upcoming events, training and guest complaints.

• Allow feedback from the staff regarding work practices that can improve guest experiences and working conditions.

• Be actively involved in new and evolving technology in the hotel and which may benefit its smooth operation.
