Position: Cyber Programme Manager
Location: Dublin city centre hybrid working
Day Rate: 600-675 per day
Contract Type: 6 month rolling day rate contract (this will extend)
Overview:
A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Cyber Programme Manager to lead a large-scale cybersecurity transformation programme. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in programme delivery and cybersecurity, who thrives in complex environments and can drive delivery across multiple workstreams involving compliance, remediation, and infrastructure security
Responsibilities:
As Cyber Programme Manager, you will:
- Lead a portfolio of cybersecurity projects, ensuring delivery is aligned with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee planning, execution, and governance across the programme, ensuring risks are proactively managed and reported.
- Support project teams with governance processes, reporting tools, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate remediation activities in line with recognised frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
- Represent the organisation in group-wide cyber initiatives, ensuring local priorities are reflected.
- Work closely with finance teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to promote cyber awareness and adoption of secure practices.
- Facilitate programme-level risk reviews and support decision-making at senior governance forums.
Qualifications & Experience:
You will have:
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT or cyber programmes.
- A strong track record of delivering security-focused projects in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of key frameworks and regulations such as NIST, CIS, NIS2, and GDPR.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external delivery partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in programme governance, financial tracking, and reporting.
- A degree in IT, Business Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMI, or PgMP.
