The Role

My client, a global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with fluency in German, to join their team in Cavan. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.

As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and high quality transaction processing.

Tasks & Duties
  • Act as the main point of contact for all customer transaction support, including order queries, pricing, and stock availability.
  • Accurately process orders received via phone, email, fax, and online channels, ensuring timely and professional handling.
  • Issue clear and friendly order confirmations and manage delivery schedules in SAP to reduce shipment frequency and cost.
  • Monitor and manage backorders or out-of-stock items, offering suitable alternatives to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Support, Technical, and Pricing) to resolve order or specification issues.
  • Identify and escalate unusual or complex orders to management, ensuring smooth issue resolution.
  • Take part in regular team meetings and actively contribute ideas for process improvements to benefit both customers and the business.
  • Build strong knowledge of the organisations systems (SAP, Sales Cloud, Kianda, etc.), products, and customer base to support team performance.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a busy & demanding customer service/administration position.
  • Full fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail with IT proficiency.
  • Candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance with full working rights.
