Community Support Worker, Salthill, Galway

Community Support Worker various contracts available in Salthill area - 12hrs a week.

The Role:

• Work as part of a team with one person supported.
• To establish and maintain a positive relationship with the person supported that is based on respect, equality and that promotes independence.
• To provide support which allows "access" to areas of community living.
• To provide supports which allow respite to family members
• To support the person supported wellbeing and development in a range of settings including the family home or community settings.
• Provide information and insights into the s progress and maintain agreed records and data.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience working with people with an intellectual disability, autism or a similar field.
• Has an interest and/or experience in working as part of a team involved in developing a new community based service for people we support. 
• Has experience or the ability to be an effective keyworker and advocate for the people we support.
