Responsibilities
- Ensuring consistent application of the Care Center's policies and highest clinical standards.
- Collaborating with many employees across all departments to guarantee that standards are upheld. Determine any potential problem areas and work with the director of nursing to implement appropriate measures.
- Examining clinical procedures and documentation for residents who have pressure sores, have experienced falls, or are clinically ill to make that the right management plan is in place.
- Oversee nursing staff compliance and medication administration.
- Create a monthly stock inventory and place monthly stock orders.
- With the director of nursing, go over medication audits and raise the bar.
- Communicate with pharmacists and general practitioners about drug audits and reviews.
- Collaborate and maintain a visible presence with the care assistants and staff nurses.
- Together with the director of nursing, take part in staff nurse and care assistant performance reviews and training.
- The CNM not only observes practice but also keeps an eye on cleanliness and hygiene standards and promotes good communication and a productive working relationship amongst housekeeping workers, care assistants, and staff nurses.
- In charge of making sure action plans are carried out and maintained, as well as that environmental and hand hygiene audits are conducted on a regular and comprehensive basis.
- Accountable for conducting risk assessments, medication audits, health and safety audits, and risk management plan creation in collaboration with the director of nursing.
Requirements
- General nursing bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- It is advantageous to have prior managerial training or experience.
- Enrolled in the live NMBI register.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Sound decision making ability.
- Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative.
- Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
