About the Hermitage Clinic

We have the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available today, full Cardiological facilities including a Cardiac Catheterisation Suite and Clinical Laboratory services.


The Role

Due to the expansion of our Cath Lab services, we are seeking both Basic Grade and Senior Radiographer that will assist in the provision of an efficient Diagnostic Imaging service inclusive of general radiology, x-ray, fluoroscopy, theatres, mobiles and the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. There is a strong emphasis on delivery of high standards of clinical practice and skills in Radiology. These posts would suit both recently qualified and experienced applicants who are able to demonstrate previous radiography experience in general, cath lab, theatre, mobile imaging and fluoroscopy procedures both at student and post graduate level.

 

The role holder will be expected to:

  • Utilise department protocols to undertake imaging procedures to a consistently high standard.
  • Participate in the rota to cover Radiology services.
  • Work under the auspices of the Clinical Specialist and within the HMC Induction and training program to develop radiographic knowledge and skills.
  • Consistently make good clinical decisions and to be able to self-evaluate
  • Take a full and active role in the professional life and professional services of the department.
  • Use the equipment and accessories correctly, reporting any faults to the relevant Clinical Specialist or to a more senior member of staff on duty.
  • Keep the equipment clean and the imaging rooms tidy.
  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to all information regarding patients
  • Manage the Continuing Professional Development process, and to maintain awareness of current and new techniques.
  • Take an active role in Quality Assurance, audit and research projects under the direction of more senior staff.        
  • Provide imaging in the angiography suite after full training, and assist in interventional procedures under clinical supervision

 

The Person

Essential requirements for the ideal candidate:

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Radiography
  • CORU registration

Experience:

  • Familiar with a computerised patient information system and RIS/PACS
  • Cath Lab experience

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of legislation relating to Radiation Protection and Health & Safety
  • Good understanding of the concept of CPD
