Retail Assistant Manager Limerick City

My client is a prominent and highly successful Convenience Forecourt retail group with stores across Connacht, Leinster and Munster. After opening a new store in the Limerick area, our client is looking to strengthen their team and hire an ambient focused Manager in one of their busy Limerick stores.

This is a progressive, well known private retail group with a number of awards to their name. They are a highly ambitious retail group, commercially focused operation and excellent at developing retailers who work under them up to run their own stores.

Roughly 25 staff working in this site, with a focus on fresh foods, service and grocery, the ideal retail candidate will have worked in a convenience or supermarket retail environment.

For the role of Retail Assistant Manager, our client will offer 32,000 -38,000 yearly salary, including some benefits like Staff discount.

Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:

• Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
• Provide high level of customer service
• Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
• Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
• Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
• Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
• Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department.
• Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.

Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:

• 2+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods or grocery goods
• Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
• People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
• A strong work ethic.
