Our client based in Blanchardstown, Dublin are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a full time Hybrid 12 month contract position. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

Treasury management
  • Monitor bank balances and cash requirements
  • Reconcile bank accounts in Netsuite
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for group cash flow

Accounts Payable
  • Review all supplier invoices in Netsuite, while ensuring that all invoices are accurately accounted for and appropriately approved
  • Verify and reconcile supplier accounts in Netsuite to supplier statements
  • Prepare supplier payment runs
  • Manage monthly cash employee expenses and company credit cards

Reporting
  • Preparation and review of monthly revenue recognition entries
  • Perform a timely month-end close within agreed deadlines
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and liaising with the Finance Manager to resolve any queries
  • Assist the finance manager with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs

Requirements:
  • A qualification in Accounting & Finance or a related field (or progression towards qualification)
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an Assistant Financial Accountant or equivalent role
  • Previous intercompany transaction experience
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables)
  • Experience with Netsuite or an equivalent ERP system
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • A preference for a high-intensity, high-energy work environment
