The Role

We are seeking a Accountants Assistant to join the Finance team on a 18 month fixed term basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate work will with the finance team on month- end accounting and reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and assist the accounts payable team.

Key Duties for this role will include

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Support the accounts payable team with invoice processing, reconciliations and supplier queries
• Assist with the preparation of vat returns
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes
• Assist in the annual audit with the external auditors
• Other duties appropriate to the post as assigned from time to time by the Financial Controller

Essential Criteria

• Part qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA, CIMA equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Effective problem solving ability
• Excellent analytical skills
• Previous experience of accounting information systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
