Role Summary
-An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Academic Coordinator to join our team here at IBAT College Dublin.

The responsibilities of this role include overseeing the academic programs, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Monitor student progress and performance. Coordinate student activities and academic events This role also involves coordinating with institution, staff, and students to support academic success and program development. The Academic Coordinator will manage course schedules, assist with curriculum development, and provide guidance to students regarding academic policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. Salary: 34000 euros p/a. Hours: 39 hrs

Key Activities and Responsibilities
-Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Liaising with Degree and Professional Diploma students on day-to-day queries
- -
- Maintaining accurate attendance records for students
- -
- Following up with students on poor class attendance
- -
- Liaising with lectures on their day-to-day queries
- -
- Inputting staff lecturer hours on the Staff Scheduler.
- -
- Assisting with coordination of assessment time-scheduling and results
- -
- Assisting with Moodle
- -
- Assisting with preparation of academic timetables and calendars at the start and during term
- -
- Processing applications for extenuating circumstances and deferrals
- -
- Helping facilitate online classes
- -
- Any additional duties assigned by the Dean or Programme Leader

Skills, qualification and key attributes:
-- -
- 2 years' experience in a busy administration role, dealing with a variety of stakeholders, providing support when needed. Experience is ideally in an education environment, but consideration may be given to other contexts

- Excellent attention to detail.
- -
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- -
- A strong ability to meet strict and changing deadlines, working under pressure.
- -
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- -
- Ability to work on their own and within a team.

- A strong grasp on Moodle
- -
- Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace apps
